Data and purposes
We process your name, email, optional telephone number, message, dates, apartment, guest count, amount, booking reference and status to respond and manage requests, stays, payments, receipts and cancellations. Receipts retain the name, stay, amount, payment date and, if supplied, the customer's document number. Do not include health data, identity documents or bank details in the form's free-text fields. Required fields are necessary to handle your request; telephone and booking notes are optional. Guest registration is handled separately through PARTE, without an automatic connection to this website.
Legal bases
Stay enquiries and bookings are processed to take precontractual steps or perform a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)); tax and applicable guest-registration duties are legal obligations (6(1)(c)). Website security and general enquiries rely on the legitimate interest in maintaining and supporting the service (6(1)(f)). Optional analytics require consent (6(1)(a)). Using a form does not subscribe you to advertising.
Providers and recipients
The website uses Vercel for hosting, Neon for the database and Resend to send booking emails and PDF receipts. The contact mailbox uses Gmail. The operator uses PARTE separately for guest registration. Technology providers may access data needed to provide their services; data may also be shared with accounting advisers for record management and public authorities where legally required. These services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. You can request information about recipients and applicable transfer safeguards at regodecastineira@gmail.com. Google Analytics only loads if you accept optional analytics. It is not used for advertising.
Retention
We retain data in accordance with applicable law and the purpose for which they were collected. Enquiries are retained while being handled; unaccepted requests until they are closed; and bookings while managing the stay, cancellation and any refund. Afterwards, only necessary information is to be retained for the statutory retention periods and potential liabilities applicable to each record. Receipts and payment records are retained under the applicable documentation and tax obligations. Closing an enquiry or booking does not automatically delete it. Guest registration is handled separately through PARTE; this website neither imports nor exports that register.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction and portability where applicable at regodecastineira@gmail.com. If identity verification is needed, we will request only necessary information. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting its prior lawfulness. You may complain to Spain's data protection authority, AEPD (www.aepd.es). We do not use profiling to make automated decisions; pending requests expire after 24 hours under the published terms and you may contact the hosts to review them.
